• Design, develop, and optimize software solutions for Loyalty Rewards (Circle Earnings).
• Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver high‑quality software.
• Engage in code reviews to maintain software quality and functional accuracy.
• Conduct research and proof‑of‑concept projects.
• Participate in structured construction, automation, debugging, and implementation activities, ensuring best practices are met.
• Resolve frequently encountered technical issues and monitor system capacity with minimal assistance.
• Contribute to architectural design and participate in ceremonies that influence product and service direction.
• Directly impact guests’ experience through loyalty initiatives.

• 4‑year degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of software development experience, ideally with Java or Kotlin, Postgres and Kafka.
• Demonstrates familiarity with current and emerging technologies in own scope of responsibility and applies them effectively.
• Understands concepts of package solutions and specific programming language with knowledge of development objects.
• Demonstrates and continuously builds upon domain‑specific knowledge.
• Demonstrates proficiency in at least one computer language.
• Understands concepts of distributed programming and applies them to their domain.
• Knowledge of the different data structures in chosen programming language and how to apply them.
• Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise.
• Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self‑directed education.

The position operates as a Hybrid/Flex — your day work arrangement involves both onsite presence at Target HQ MN and virtual work, depending on day‑to‑day needs. Tasks must be performed within the country of the primary work location unless otherwise prescribed.
