Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Equivalent professional experience considered.

Required Skills and Experience

5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Strong proficiency in Java and backend service development.

Deep experience with Java Spring Boot.

Experience building RESTful APIs.

Backend development experience.

Frontend exposure with React

JS.

Experience working with Mongo

DB.

Strong understanding of agile development practices including user stories, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.

Experience with unit testing, test-driven development (TDD), and test automation.

Proven ability to work independently and deliver high-quality code with minimal oversight.

Strong collaboration skills with product managers and engineering stakeholders.

Desired Skills

Kotlin experience.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience.

AdTech experience.

Generative AI solution development or integrations.

Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.

Order management systems experience.

Experience working within small, high-impact engineering teams.

Job Duties

Design, develop, and test backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

Translate product requirements and user stories into scalable, maintainable solutions.

Own implementation of features from the product backlog end-to-end.

Estimate and size user stories while contributing to sprint planning and prioritization.

Write clean, well-tested code, including unit and automated tests.

Validate deliverables against acceptance criteria and ensure high-quality releases.

Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams.

Follow agile development practices, including iterative delivery and continuous improvement.

Contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, and code reviews.

Partner with infrastructure, security, and other teams to ensure robust and compliant solutions.

Typical Day

Develop backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.

Collaborate with product managers on requirements and solution design.

Perform code reviews and technical discussions.

Write and execute automated tests.

Work with engineering partners to deploy and support production applications.

Contribute to architecture and scalability discussions.

Independently own development tasks from design through delivery.
