The Senior SQL Developer will lead the build out of a high visibility profitability reporting and analytics solution for a growing manufacturer. You'll partner directly with finance, operations, and technology leaders to transform complex ERP data into actionable business insights, leveraging SQL Server, Python/Spark, and modern data integration tools to automate reporting processes that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. This role is ideal for a hands‑on developer who enjoys digging into large datasets, solving complex business problems, and building practical solutions from the ground up.
Hourly Rate: $80-85/hr DOE

Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and reporting datasets.
- Build and enhance a profitability reporting solution using data extracted from manufacturing ERP systems.
- Develop automated processes to replace manual financial reporting and allocation activities currently performed by the finance team.
- Extract, transform, and manipulate large volumes of operational and financial data.
- Create reporting solutions that provide profitability visibility by:
- Customer
- Part Number
- Manufacturing Facility
- Integrate and maintain allocation tables supplied by finance stakeholders.
- Develop scripting and data movement processes using Python, Spark, or similar technologies.
- Support data integration workflows using tools such as Azure Data Factory and SQL Server Agent.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts across operations, engineering, IT, and finance.
- Document development work, business logic, and data flows to ensure maintainability.
- 8+ years of professional experience in SQL development/programming.

- Experience developing reporting and analytics solutions from enterprise data sources.
- Experience with Python, Spark, or R for scripting, automation, and large‑scale data manipulation.
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling.
- Experience working with large datasets and implementing automated data processing solutions.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with SQL Server Agent scheduling and automation
- Exposure to manufacturing ERP systems and operational reporting environments.
- Previous experience supporting finance, costing, or profitability reporting initiatives.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and resolve real‑time data and system issues
- Strong cross‑functional communication skills
- Deep expertise in manufacturing is not required, however, a solid conceptual understanding of how financial and operational data interact within an ERP environment is highly desired.
