Job Description & How to Apply Below

Explicitly mentions and requires vibe coding practices and disciplined prompt chaining for LLM-assisted code generation; focuses on governing and integrating AI into the dev workflow.

About the Role

Principal AI-Driven SDLC Coach responsible for end-to-end coaching and governance of AI-augmented software development. Design and maintain engineering guardrails, CI/CD integrations, and standardized workflows to ensure secure, compliant, production-grade LLM-assisted development.

Job Description Role

Principal AI-Driven SDLC Coach accountable for end-to-end coaching and governance of AI-augmented Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The role designs engineering harnesses and guardrails, delivers hands‑on training and workshops, and standardizes repeatable, secure, production‑ready AI workflows integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead formal training, 1:1 coaching, team workshops and live code clinics covering the complete AI-powered SDLC workflow.
  • Coach structured prompt design, user story refinement, specification drafting, and mitigation of vague inputs that cause downstream defects.
  • Train teams on security analysis and threat modeling using AI tools (shift-left security, OWASP checks, data leakage risk assessment).
  • Guide AI-assisted architecture drafting, task breakdown, dependency mapping and modular implementation planning.
  • Establish disciplined vibe coding practices: structured prompt chaining, context injection, incremental code generation and constrained model output.
  • Define human-in-the-loop code review governance and checklist-driven frameworks for validating LLM-generated code.
  • Train teams on unit and integration testing with AI: test case auto-generation, edge case enumeration, mock data creation and regression suite construction.
  • Standardize automated documentation generation workflows for API docs, design docs, runbooks and release notes.
  • Integrate AI tools into CI/CD pipelines (pre-commit validation gates, in-flight scanning, automated test execution, artifact auditing, deployment approval automation).
  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade harnesses that enforce guardrails and embed automated validation gates across SDLC stages.
  • Integrate code LLMs, static/dynamic analysis tools, security scanners, test runners and doc generators into unified pipeline tooling.
  • Build observability dashboards to measure SDLC efficiency metrics and continuously refine harness rules to counter hallucinations and insecure artifacts.
  • Author playbooks, prompt libraries, checklists and workflow templates; collaborate with cybersecurity, legal, Dev Sec Ops  and compliance teams to bake in license/IP auditing and data filtering.
  • Enforce mandatory human review gates for high-risk modules (authentication, payments, PII) at SDLC checkpoints.
Requirements
  • Significant software engineering experience with complete hands‑on SDLC delivery and production systems.
  • Proven expertise across requirements gathering, security design, implementation planning, formal code review, manual/automated testing, technical writing and CI/CD pipeline design.
  • Deep practical experience with code-generating LLMs across SDLC phases including advanced prompt engineering, output constraint design and mitigation of hallucinations.
  • Hands‑on experience building custom wrapper tooling/harnesses to govern and validate AI outputs in pipelines.
  • Strong cross-team communication, documentation skills and ability to coach engineers from junior to staff levels.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; the employer cannot sponsor or transfer work visas.
Location

Role locations listed:
Santa Clara, CA or Minneapolis, MN.

Core Competencies
  • Lifecycle-first mindset prioritizing SDLC robustness
  • Structured coaching and workshop facilitation
  • Strategic risk balancing between AI acceleration and security/maintainability
  • Cross-team collaboration and governance
