Part-Time Delivery Driver | Paint & Service

Job Type: Part-Time

Starting Pay: $18.00/hr or based on relevant experience

This position is responsible for delivering products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores using box and flat-bed trucks. Drivers ensure deliveries are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct customer. Drivers are accountable for customer satisfaction and transport items in a safe, timely manner.

Job duties include contact with customers, which may involve minors; access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other valuable items, and may be supervised or unsupervised. A review of criminal history is required.

• Ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner
• Load customer orders properly on the truck
• Ensure appropriate forms are completed
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints from customers
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
• Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Perform other tasks in the store, including warehouse duties, tinting, and mixing customer orders and waiting on customers

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• Must have a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or be willing to obtain one within five business days of receiving an offer
• Must be able to retrieve material and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand traffic signs, and record reports
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams: must have received at least a meets expectations rating on the most recent performance appraisal and completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses

• High School diploma or GED
• At least one (1) year of experience as a delivery driver
• At least one (1) year of experience using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
• Previous experience selling paint and paint-related products
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in multiple languages; or in Spanish
