The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in supporting South-Town Refrigeration & Mechanical operations by ensuring accurate handling, storage, and movement of materials and equipment. This role supports technicians, project teams, and operations by maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. This position is designed as an entry point into a long-term warehouse career path.
Roles and Responsibilities- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments
- Accurately and efficiently pick, stage, and prepare materials for job sites and technicians
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts
- Organize warehouse layout for safety and efficiency
- Load and unload materials using approved equipment
- Experience operating/driving a forklift and pallet jack
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and yard
- Follow safety policies, procedures, and OSHA guidelines
- Communicate material shortages or discrepancies to leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of warehouse or material-handling experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move products weighing up to 100 lbs. or more
- Basic computer and inventory tracking skills
- 20-to-30-foot Box Truck driving experience
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- DOT Health card or willingness to obtain
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Previous warehouse experience
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for long periods
- Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in various warehouse environments, including non-temperature controlled areas
