English Teacher at Quinebaug Middle College High School

EASTCONN is seeking a dynamic, student-centered English Teacher for Quinebaug Middle College. The successful candidate will foster a positive learning environment, deliver engaging instruction aligned with Connecticut standards, and support students in developing strong literacy, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

Position Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction

* Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs

* Assess student progress and maintain accurate records

* Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff

* Integrate technology and innovative instructional practices into the classroom

* Support a positive and inclusive school culture

* Participate in professional development and school initiatives

Required Qualifications

* Valid Connecticut teaching certification required:

* 015 English, 7-12, or

* Other appropriate Connecticut English/Language Arts certification

* Strong classroom management and communication skills

* Commitment to student achievement and relationship-building

* Experience working with secondary students preferred

Salary & Benefits

Salary and benefits will be in accordance with applicable union contract, education and experience.
