We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support day-to-day receivables operations for a long-term contract opportunity based in Brooklyn, New York. This position will focus on maintaining accurate payment records, applying cash receipts, coordinating commercial collections, and managing billing-related activity with a high degree of accuracy. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to follow-up, and the ability to keep accounts current while supporting consistent financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming payments and post cash receipts accurately to customer accounts in a timely manner.
• Review open balances, monitor aging reports, and follow up with commercial clients to resolve overdue invoices.
• Prepare and issue billing documents while ensuring charges, adjustments, and account details are correct.
• Investigate payment discrepancies, short pays, and unapplied cash to support accurate account reconciliation.
• Maintain organized records of cash activity, collections efforts, and account updates for reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to address billing questions and resolve receivable issues efficiently.
• Reconcile account activity regularly to confirm balances are accurate and supported by documentation.
