We are seeking two detail-oriented, organized, and reliable Service Coordinators to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. This role is essential to the coordination and delivery of services, requiring strong follow-through, accuracy, and consistent communication with clients, families, and insurance providers.
The Service Coordinator is responsible for managing consent forms, overseeing service waitlists, communicating with families and insurance companies, and ensuring ongoing compliance with policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling detailed administrative tasks, working under deadlines, and interacting professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Initiate, review, and execute consent forms for services
- Identify, correct, and resolve errors or omissions in documentation prior to submission
- Submit completed consent forms accurately and in a timely manner
- Oversee and maintain the service waiting list, including updates, additions, and changes
- Contact clients and families when services become available
- Communicate regularly with families regarding service status and placement
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain authorizations
- Review cases to ensure compliance with applicable policies and requirements
- Participate in weekly meetings with a supervisor
- Maintain strict compliance with all organizational policies and procedures
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Computer proficiency required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to manage detailed tasks with consistency and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments within established procedures and timelines
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive, professional attitude
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
