About the Role

Ascend seeks a dynamic and experienced Network Office Operations Associate, who will be responsible for leading administrative support and operations for the Ascend Learning network office.

This role will coordinate and support a wide variety of special projects, tasks, and initiatives alongside the Network Operations Team. The Network Office Operations Associate will be uniquely positioned to impact every aspect of Ascend's network office environment, including coordinating and leading reception for the office, developing operational and administrative systems, developing and maintaining systems for shared space use, and ensuring a high-quality and productive workspace for Ascend's network teams.

Reporting Structure

The Network Office Operations Associate reports to the Managing Director of Operations.

Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:
  • Support and execute systems and processes to ensure smooth day-to-day central office operations.
  • Develop, refine, and document operations systems and procedures; support strategic annual planning for network operations.
  • Create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment at the network office, delivering best-in-class reception and front-of-house support that reflects Ascend's standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements, emergency protocols, and state and federal workplace regulations.
  • Track, manage, and maintain office supply inventory to promote a productive and well-organized work environment.
  • Support central office employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Coordinate and assist with network-wide events, activities, and operational initiatives.
  • Support student recruitment and enrollment teams by ensuring ATS and state-level data systems remain accurate and up-to-date.
  • Conduct data entry; analyze and report on operations data for school, board, and regulatory reporting needs.
  • Provide basic IT support, including troubleshooting computers, printers, and general office technology.
  • Oversee facilities operations, including space planning, layout updates, move coordination, and maintenance requests.
  • Maintain accurate records by establishing and following retention, protection, retrieval, and disposal procedures.
  • Proactively identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong, professional verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in an office environment, ideally within an education-related organization.
  • Experience using systems and applications such as One Login, Zendesk, Microsoft Teams, Intacct, and Ring Central.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks of varying complexity while staying organized in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Compensation

The salary will range between $60,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with level of experience.

Location & Work Arrangement
  • Based in our Brooklyn, NY office
  • In-Office work schedule, Monday-Friday
