Graduate Program In Speech-Language Pathology
The Graduate Program in Speech-Language Pathology is approved by the New York State Education Department and is a CAA ASHA certified program. The Program offers Graduate Assistantships (GA). Each GA requires a minimum of 15 hours a week of work at the Program. Flexible hours are a must. At a minimum, applicants must demonstrate exemplary oral and written communication skills, a strong GPA as determined in the sole discretion of the Program, availability that accommodates the workflow of the Program, and literacy with computer applications such as, but not necessarily limited to:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Additionally, the candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills. The GA reports to the Program Director who periodically evaluates the work of each GA in consultation with faculty. The GA position is renewable each semester based upon the GA's performance and the availability of work and funding.
Reports to the Program Director with duties including but not limited to the following:
- Operating in general clerical needs of office: answering incoming calls, memos, copying, scanning, filing, and scheduling appointment
- Responsible for typing memos, letters, emails, and general correspondence
- Responsible for entering and updating information into the filing system
- Creates files and follows up with any missing documents
- Responsible for responding to phone calls from prospective students and answering questions; forward certain calls to the appropriate advisor
- Interacts and assists with different professors
- Interacts and assists with administrative assistants
- Maintains master lists
- Manages calendar and sets up appointments
- Responsible for general administrative support
- Performing special projects and assignments as requested
- Assist the research director in a variety of areas.
- Designing and posting flyer announcements
- Other duties assigned

- Bachelor's degree

Physical Demands
- Able to lift up to 5 lbs.
- This position requires compliance with Touro's Vaccine Mandate policy.
USD $17.00/Hr.
