Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Assistant Service Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services, ensuring a seamless experience from initial consultation to service completion. This role requires excellent communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Prior experience and familiarity with auto service management are highly valued.

- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their vehicle needs and concerns.
- Explain recommended services and repairs clearly, providing detailed auto estimates.
- Coordinate with technicians to schedule repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle diagnostics and customer needs.
- Manage service writing, including documenting vehicle issues, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service history, and billing information.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster ongoing relationships.
- Stay informed about the latest automotive repair techniques, including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, alignment, auto body repair, and other mechanical services.
- Proven experience or automotive service management background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Experience with auto estimating software and service writing is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Ability to upsell services tactfully while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
- Mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems such as transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspensions, tires, diesel engines, shocks & struts, alignments, and auto body repairs.
- Familiarity with auto sales processes is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times.
