Young Judaea Sprout Brooklyn Day Camp, located in Red Hook, is a Hebrew dual-language camp for children entering Pre-K through 5th grade. Sprout Brooklyn is a place where children from a wide spectrum of backgrounds join together to create a joyful, diverse community built on Jewish values, a connection to Israel and the Hebrew language.
Sprout Brooklyn values staff that are positive and flexible team players who are excited to spend the summer with young campers and staff. The ideal candidate is excited about camp life and feels comfortable wearing multiple hats and will never say that a task “isn’t their job”.
We are currently looking for energetic, fun-loving and responsible Hebrew Immersion Counselors. Our counselors are the heart of Sprout Brooklyn. They are role models who nurture and care for campers while leading groups and participating in all activities. Our Hebrew immersion program runs from July 6th- July 31st . You must be fluent in Hebrew to qualify for this role.
All applicants must be based in New York City and eligible to work in the United States as we do not provide visa sponsorship or housing.
Our Hebrew immersion program runs from July 6th- July 31st. required staff training takes place on June 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18. The camp day is from 8:30am – 4pm, Monday – Friday.

Position Requirements
High School,
Less than 1 Year
work experience Responsibilities:
- Be a positive role model for campers and other staff members
- Supervise 12-15 campers and provide a safe environment for them to have fun and grow
- Speak to your campers entirely in Hebrew and support them in the language learning process through immersion
- Work alongside 2-3 co-counselors and share group responsibilities
- Participate with campers in all activities while assisting activity specialists with lesson plans
- Get in the pool with campers and participate in instructional swim
- Have FUN
- Hebrew Fluency Required
