Our client is a Brooklyn-based General Contractor specializing in high-end residential gut renovations and extensions. Their projects include brownstones and townhomes throughout Brooklyn, often involving complex structural scopes such as underpinning, benching, and rear or vertical additions.
They are known for hands-on project execution, close collaboration with architects and engineers, and delivering exceptional craftsmanship on architecturally significant properties.
Job Description
As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for the following:
- Oversee daily on-site construction activities from demo to close-out
- Manage complex structural scopes including underpinning and benching
- Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and DOB requirements
- Enforce quality control across high-end finishes and structural work
- Maintain site safety and schedule adherence
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects
- Resolve field issues and maintain detailed site documentation

The Successful Applicant
A successful Superintendent should have:
- 5-8+ years of superintendent experience in residential construction
- Proven background in high-end residential interior gut renovations
- Hands-on experience with structural work (underpinning, benching, additions)
- Strong knowledge of DOB processes and NYC construction standards
- Ability to manage multiple trades in tight urban sites
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Brooklyn brownstone or townhouse experience strongly preferred
- Competitive salary ranging from $140,000 to $170,000 per year.
