Position
As a Design Director at Team, you lead 2-3 project teams, formulating and directing strategy-driven, creative design solutions from the start to the finish of a project. Reporting to the Creative Director, you’ll help mentor and grow your project teams, through thoughtful, actionable feedback and leadership.
You’ll present design work internally and externally and communicate with Team’s clients to build trusted relationships.

You’re organized and know how to manage schedules and budgets. You communicate expectations clearly, providing guidance and reviewing performance with design teams.
- Crafting and developing creative briefs
- Developing creative concepts with design teams and directing the execution of 2-3 projects at a time
- Working with the Creative Director to ensure that scope and schedule are aligned
- Researching our clients’ business goals, positioning, history, and strategy and creating design briefs for internal and external designers
- Leading internal brainstorming sessions to develop high level conceptual ideas that guide our design process
- Leading project teams from brief to final design, including:
- Detailed visual identity including logo and icon design, color palettes, font selection and/or design of unique typography, image selection
- Brand reveal or design concept animations
- Brand guidelines, “kit of parts,” and collateral design and production files
- Photography, 3D and/or illustration style/guidance
- Web user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design
- Static and interactive storyboards
- Digital, print, and experiential layouts
- Presenting concepts and design work directly to clients
- Providing printing specifications, reviewing, and approving final print/production files, color proofs and prototypes, and, when time allows, attending press checks
- Maintaining expertise in latest design and production software
- Supporting the development of and suggesting new processes and design standards to keep our work at the highest level
- Supporting Team’s overall culture, values, and mission
Project teams as assigned
Salary$115,000 - $150,000 based on experience
