Senior Architect​/Designer

Guerin Glass Architects is currently seeking a Senior Architect/Designer to join our team. Candidates must have a professional degree in Architecture and 8+ years of architectural experience. They should have comprehensive design and documentation skills and be able to demonstrate experience in a wide range of project types, including hospitality, commercial, and residential design. They should have strong communication skills and be able to work directly with clients, consultants and contractors.

Senior Architects/Designers should be able to provide the technical design of projects and exercise independent judgement. They will also be required to collaborate with design principals and project managers while receiving guidance on complex details and/or issues.

• Project Leadership:
  • Collaborate with and assist senior staff throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the project strategic direction and management of project teams to ensure project goals are met within budget and schedule constraints.
• Design Excellence:
  • Develop innovative design and technical solutions that align with client requirements, project objectives, and industry standards.
  • Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Team Management:
  • Mentor and coach intermediate, junior architects and designers in their professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that promotes creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Client Engagement:
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to understand project needs and objectives.
  • Present design proposals and updates to clients and stakeholders, soliciting feedback and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards.
  • Conduct periodic site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality of workmanship.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in architectural design and project management.
• Licensed Architect (RA) with a proven track record of successfully delivering architectural projects a plus.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, Minimum of 3 years working exclusively on Revit-based projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revue and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Experience in high-end residential, new construction towers, and/or resort/hospitality projects.
• Experience with Rhino, Grasshopper, and Enscape.
• Knowledge of sustainable design and green building standards.
• Architectural registration and LEED accreditation.
