Job Summary

We are seeking a highly creative and visionary Product Development Manager to lead the creation, refinement, and execution of furniture and home décor products from concept through production. This role bridges design, sourcing, engineering, and manufacturing
, ensuring products are commercially viable, on-trend, and delivered on time.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for materials and form, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage multiple product programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead product development from concept, design intent, and material selection through sampling, testing, and production
  • Translate creative direction and market trends into commercially successful furniture and home décor collection
  • Partner with design, merchandising, and sales teams to define product roadmaps and line plans
  • Ensure all products align with brand standards, quality expectations, and cost targets
  • Communicate with factories & sourcing agents to negotiate pricing, monitor quality control and navigate any curveballs that may arise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, and sales to create cohesive campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the brand at the forefront of creativity.
  • Present ideas and concepts to executives, articulating the rationale behind creative decisions and long term goals.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Design Systems and Process Improvement while following design guidelines to ensure consistency.
  • Partner with design, merchandising, and sales teams to define product roadmaps and line plans
  • Ensure all products align with brand standards, quality expectations, and cost targets
  • Negotiate costs, MOQs, lead times, and packaging specifications
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers while enforcing quality and compliance standards
Qualifications
  • 4–8+ years of experience in product development within furniture, lighting, or home décor
  • Strong understanding of furniture construction, materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience working with overseas factories and import production cycles
  • Ability to read technical drawings, spec sheets, and prototypes
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams and vendors
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, and product lifecycle management tools (PLM experience a plus)
Compensation Range

$85-110k/year
