A healthcare system in New York City is currently seeking a licensed
Thoracic Surgeon to join their growing team in Brooklyn. In this role, the Thoracic Surgeon will be responsible for performing a variety of surgical procedures to treat thoracic and cardiothoracic conditions.

Responsibilities:
The Thoracic Surgeon will:- Diagnose and evaluate conditions that affect the chest, including lung cancer, esophageal disorders, mediastinal tumors, pleural diseases, and congenital heart defects
- Assess the patient's overall health before surgery, discuss the risks and benefits of the procedure, and obtain informed consent
- Communicate with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
- Board Eligible / Certified
