School Psychologist - Elementary through High School
Location
Soliant Education is seeking a bilingual School Psychologist for an onsite opportunity serving students within the greater New York City area for the school year. This position is available as either part-time or full-time based on candidate availability and district needs. The role will support students across K-12 settings and requires full onsite participation throughout the assignment. Openings are available immediately, and the district is actively interviewing qualified professionals.
Position Overview
This education industry position focuses on conducting psychological evaluations and preparing detailed assessment reports for students requiring support services. The selected School Psychologist will work closely with school teams, families, and educational staff to help identify student needs and provide recommendations for services and accommodations. Candidates should be comfortable managing evaluations independently while maintaining strong organization and communication throughout the process.
Professionals who thrive in collaborative school environments and demonstrate attention to detail are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include conducting psychological evaluations for CPSE-aged students and completing comprehensive written reports in a timely manner. The School Psychologist will collaborate with educators, administrators, and support staff to ensure evaluations are aligned with district and state guidelines. Additional duties may include participation in meetings, reviewing student records, and discussing assessment findings with families and school personnel. Candidates should be able to balance evaluation timelines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism in all documentation.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold the appropriate state licensure or certification required for practicing as a School Psychologist in New York. Bilingual fluency in Yiddish is a mandatory requirement for this position, and candidates who do not meet this qualification cannot be considered. Previous experience working within K-12 educational settings and conducting psycho educational evaluations is strongly preferred. Strong written communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams will help candidates stand out during the hiring process.
Schedule and Compensation
The anticipated work schedule is Monday through Thursday from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Report writing and documentation responsibilities may be completed after school hours as needed. Compensation is expected to range from approximately $50-$60 per hour based on experience and qualifications. This contract position through Soliant Education includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and weekly pay.
Application Process
Candidates selected for consideration will first complete an initial phone screening with a Soliant Education recruiter before being submitted to the school district. Interviews are taking place ASAP, and qualified bilingual professionals are encouraged to apply promptly.
