Mission Description

The International Technical Expert will be the national reference for the modernization of technical, professional, and agricultural training within the Egyptian national education system.

Actions to be implemented:

• Advise the Ministry of Education and Technical Education teams and facilitate cooperation between Egypt and France in the field of professional, technical, and agricultural training.
• Support the implementation of training activities for Egyptian teachers and students in the field of technical, professional, and agricultural training.
• Support the reform discussions of the curriculum and the establishment of co-degrees by the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education.

Main tasks and expected results:

• Contribute to the implementation and deployment of the project throughout the territory.
• Implement tools for a dynamic and sustainable animation of the network of professional training teachers in Egypt, while systematically ensuring the modernization of educational practices and the valorization of professional training learning as an employability asset for students.
• Establish a permanent dialogue with the operational level of the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education.
• Record all institutional negotiations with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and with all Egyptian partners as well as with international donors such as UNESCO, UNICEF, the EU, and AFD.

Professional experience in the field:

• Project management
• Co-creation of a strategic plan for professional and technical training
• Training of teachers and trainers

• Design of teaching and/or training tools at the country level

Number of years of relevant experience desired: 5 to 8 years

Location of the mission:
Cairo, Egypt

Duration of the mission: 24 months

Indicative start date: from 01/09/2026

Type of contract: CDDU, private law employment contract (public agents will be detached to Expertise France for the duration of the mission)

Remuneration established according to the remuneration policy of Expertise France: base salary + (if applicable) family allowance + technical and expatriate premium + reimbursement of housing expenses
* and, if applicable, of babysitting* + reimbursement of school fees
* for children under 21 years old accompanying the expert in the country of residence + round-trip air tickets address contractual – place of residence, namely 1 initial round trip, 1 intermediate round trip, 1 final round trip + reimbursement of moving expenses
* and visa* + Social coverage (CFE, mutual health, life insurance)
