** FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
** The Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation at Kingsborough Community College (CUNY) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Health Science/Community Health. The successful candidate will perform teaching, research, student advisement and will participate in departmental, college and university service consistent with CUNY faculty responsibilities.
** Duties and responsibilities** + Teach undergraduate courses in Health Science and Community Health + Advise and mentor students toward academic and professional success + Participate in curriculum development, assessment and program evaluation + Engage in scholarly, professional, and creative activities appropriate to rank + Serve on departmental, college, and university committees + Perform related academic and administrative duties as assigned
** QUALIFICATIONS*
* ** Minimum Qualifications** + Ph.D. in Health Science/Community Health or a closely related discipline or equivalent terminal degree + Prior college-level teaching experience with demonstrated experience working with diverse, no-traditional, and underserved student populations + Experience coordinating and delivering courses across multiple modalities, including online, hybrid, and in-person formats + Demonstrated ability to teach successfully at the college level + Evidence of scholarship, professional achievement, or academic potential + Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and external clinical partners
** Preferred Qualifications** + Prior teaching experience in Health Science/Community Health programs + Five years of college level teaching experience with demonstrated experience working with diverse, non-traditional, and underserved student populations + Ability to teach across health science, community health, health education, community and public health, sport management, and physical education + Knowledge of and commitment to Associate Degree Health Science/Community Health education +

Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and academic program review + Evidence of ongoing scholarly or professional activity
