School Counselor

Agency Provider Counselor Luria Academy of Brooklyn is seeking a full-time LCSW or LMHC. Conveniently located in Prospect Heights, Luria Academy is a nurturing, child-centered, and value-oriented environment dedicated to academic excellence and Jewish heritage. Our classrooms are Montessori-inspired and accommodate students with unique learning styles and individual needs. Per Montessori pedagogy, Luria supports a thoughtful, inclusive model of special-education service delivery that prioritizes educating our students with disabilities within the classroom and amongst their peers.

Responsibilities include:

● Provide counseling services in accordance with students IESP mandates
● Communicate effectively with school personnel and families regarding students IESP goals
● Provide annual report documents reporting students progress towards IESP goals
● Make treatment recommendations for services
● Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings and IESP meetings on an as needed basis

Qualifications:

● A degree from an accredited college or university
