the Role
We are seeking a driven After school Counselor that operates with a high sense of urgency and possesses a strong work ethic. Candidates for this position do NOT need to speak Hebrew.
What You'll Do- Lead and supervise students in a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, homework assistance, and enrichment projects.
- Design and implement age-appropriate activities that foster creativity, teamwork, and learning.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Monitor student behavior, provide guidance, and address any challenges with care and professionalism.
- Work closely with other after school staff to ensure a cohesive and well-organized program.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, sharing updates on student participation and progress as needed.
- Track attendance and maintain accurate records of student activities.
- Follow school policies and procedures to ensure a secure and compliant program.
- High School Diploma from an accredited institution is required;
- Elementary and/or Middle School teaching experience preferred
- Hold NYS certification in content area or working towards certification is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Legally authorized to work in the USA
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Compensation: $20-$25/hour
Schedule:
Mondays-Thursdays from 2:00PM-6:00PM, also flexible for Fridays from 7:30AM-1:30PM
