HSE Team Leader

Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) Manager

Responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) standards across maintenance activities during day and night shifts. Conducts hazard identification and risk assessments, develops and updates risk control measures and safety booklets, and monitors compliance with company and regulatory safety requirements. Oversees the safe use, certification, and inspection of equipment and tools, including lifting equipment, forklifts, cranes, and scaffolding.

Supports incident reporting and investigation, emergency preparedness, toolbox talks, and safety training programs. Works closely with employees, contractors, and management to promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with safe systems of work, and continuously improve workplace safety performance.

• Supervise assessment of possible hazards & risk involved for maintenance activities during working day/night.
• Evaluate existing work procedures to uncover areas where safety may be at risk and create the needed risk booklet for maintenance activities.
• Reporting to QHSE manager about safety issues.
• Ensure the usage of proper equipment's during work.
• Ensure certification and inspection of all equipment/tools (forklift, crane, scaffolding, etc) if needed.
• Manage the lifting operation and identify the safe system of work.
• Maintain records of all incidents/accidents.
• Ensure availability of Emergency Response plan and its effectiveness.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety Toolbox/meeting(s) as per monitoring plan.
• Assist in the training and orientation of employees at all levels.
• Communicate to Sub-contractors the company OH&S System and ensure its implementation.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree or Educated to Degree level - expert subject with the railway field.
• Experience:
  
  8+ years' experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management within the construction, industrial, or rail sector. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to the industry. Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations. Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to promote a safety culture. Proficient in HSE management software and tools for reporting, tracking, and compliance management.
  
  Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to identify and mitigate hazards and risks. Excellent communication skills for training, collaboration, and effective reporting to cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and training programs. Experience in conducting safety training sessions and promoting awareness among employees and subcontractors.
• Language Requirements:
  Arabic & English is a must, French is a plus.
