Company Overview:
Easy Aerial is a leading military-grade autonomous Drone-in-a-Box designer and manufacturer headquartered in Brooklyn, New York. Our advanced UAV solutions are designed to meet critical security needs, serving clients across defense, security, public safety, and critical infrastructure sectors. We pride ourselves on delivering innovative drone technologies built in the USA. We are seeking a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Test & Inspection to design, build, and improve the quality inspection systems that support production of complex UAV hardware.

Who You Are:
You are a hands-on quality and manufacturing engineer who can both design the process and work directly with the hardware. You are comfortable creating inspection procedures, building test fixtures, troubleshooting electro-mechanical assemblies, and developing practical tools that help production catch issues earlier. You are not just a paperwork-focused quality engineer. You are comfortable designing PCBs, building fixtures, wiring test setups, using lab equipment, inspecting hardware, and improving the way quality work is performed on the floor.

How

You'll Make an Impact:
  • Design and implement quality inspection processes for UAV systems, electro-mechanical assemblies, cable assemblies, PCBs, payload interfaces, accessories, and production hardware.
  • Develop and execute on incoming, in-process, final, pre-shipment, and RMA inspection procedures.
  • Build practical tools, fixtures, jigs, test boxes, harnesses, and electro-mechanical setups to improve inspection accuracy and efficiency.
  • Design or support design of simple PCBs, test circuits, adapters, harnesses, and diagnostic tools used to verify electrical components and assemblies.
  • Define inspection criteria for workmanship, configuration, labeling, serialization, mechanical fit, electrical continuity, functional behavior, and production readiness.
  • Work with cross functional teams to make processes repeatable, rigorous, efficient, and easy to execute.
  • Train production and quality personnel on inspection methods, use of test fixtures, documentation requirements, and quality standards.
  • Perform hands-on inspections, troubleshooting, and hardware verification when needed.
  • Help build the quality infrastructure required to scale production while maintaining reliability and consistency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, hardware engineering, production engineering, or a related role.
  • Experience designing test fixtures, jigs, harnesses, test boxes, or manufacturing diagnostic tools.
  • Experience using lab and test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, continuity testers, crimp tools, torque tools, or other diagnostic equipment.
Why Join Easy Aerial?
  • Be part of a pioneering company at the forefront of autonomous drone technology.
  • Build the quality systems, tools, and inspection processes that support scaled U.S. manufacturing.
  • Work hands-on with advanced UAV systems, electrical components, mechanical assemblies, and production test tools.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with root-cause analysis, corrective action, nonconformance management, supplier quality, or production quality systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, defense manufacturing, aerospace manufacturing, or regulated quality environments.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, quality management systems, defect tracking tools, or manufacturing dashboards.
  • Familiarity with Python, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, microcontrollers, automated test scripts, or simple data acquisition tools is a plus.
