Senior Fund Accountant in BROOKLYN

Senior Accountant

Our client is an investment manager located in New York. They are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The team manages all aspects of fund operations and finance, including financial accounting for complex investment structures, valuations, cash management, waterfalls and distributions, performance reporting, tax analysis and reporting, management reporting, fundraising deliverables and other investor communications.

Responsibilities:

• Financial reporting: monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, footnotes including FiHi and valuation disclosures
• Operations: cash management, capital calls, deal funding, credit facilities, distributions, waterfalls
• Support work-flow and coordinate various deliverables among service providers
• Perform detailed review of investor deliverables
• Manage and respond to investor queries
• Support audit process and deliverables
• Review administrator's accounting for investment structures and LP side letters
• Support tax efforts, review tax work papers/allocations and K-1 and tax returns
• Manage related party payable/receivables, coordinate with management company team for fund expenses, assist with invoice processing
• Assist valuation process
• Update fund models for historical activity and stress test for potential transactions
• Calculate investment and fund performance (gross and net IRR)
• Assist with fundraising deliverables, review quarterly newsletters and other LP presentations (prepare portfolio analysis, performance, cash flows)

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a bachelor's degree
• 2-4 years of relevant public accounting or fund accounting experience
• Licensed CPA or parts of exam passed
• Excellent professional and academic track record
• Exceptional business analytic and quantitative skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
