We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join an organization that provides comprehensive services to individuals and families. This role is essential in supporting individuals with varying needs by promoting independence, dignity, and overall quality of life. The Direct Support Professional works closely with individuals and families to provide personalized care, guidance, and support in daily activities and life skills.

Key Responsibilities Individual & Family Support- Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals and families in accordance with individualized service plans
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, routines, and personal goals
- Encourage independence while ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being
- Support individuals in developing social, communication, and life skills
- Assist with community-based activities, appointments, and outings as appropriate
- Promote positive engagement and participation in meaningful activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to services provided
- Observe, record, and report progress, challenges, or concerns
- Follow organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, and other service providers
- Communicate effectively with families to ensure continuity of care and support
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development
- Advocate for the needs, rights, and goals of individuals and families
- Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
- Treat all individuals with respect, dignity, and cultural sensitivity
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, responsible, and compassionate approach to care>
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional or in human services
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Patient, understanding, and empathetic
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities
