Overview

The Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS), a national leader in the development of effective housing and service initiatives for individuals experiencing homelessness, is seeking an Assistant Program Director for Prospect Place, an all women’s transitional housing program located in Brooklyn, New York, supporting a Department of Homeless Services funded transitional housing program for women
.

The Assistant Program Director works closely with the Program Director and plays a key leadership role in the daily clinical and operational oversight of the program. This position has primary responsibility for the supervision of designated clinical staff and oversight of the site’s special service components, including coordination with on site psychiatric services.

In collaboration with program leadership, the Assistant Program Director supports a program culture that is client centered, outcome oriented, and focused on continuous quality improvement, while maintaining effective working relationships with funders, community partners, and other stakeholders.

• Provide direct supervision and clinical oversight to assigned staff, ensuring adherence to program standards, evidence based practices, and documentation requirements
• Support oversight and coordination of specialized services, including on site psychiatry and external service providers
• Promote the consistent implementation of evidence based practices across service delivery
• Assist with maintaining compliance with Department of Homeless Services and other funder requirements
• Support effective communication and collaboration among staff, program leadership, and external partners
• Contribute to a professional, accountable, and client centered program culture
• Partner with the Program Director on operational, clinical, and service delivery priorities

• Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, public administration, public health, human services, psychology, or related field
• Minimum of 4 years applicable experience with related populations in human services organization
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory / management experience in HUMAN SERVICES, PUBLIC HEALTH, OR SOCIAL SERVICES
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literacy

• LMSW, LCSW LMHC or, LMFT
• Bilingual Spanish/English
