** Per Diem Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine
** The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has designated New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital as a Level 2 Trauma Center. NYPBMH's designation as a "Stroke Center" by the New York State Department of Health indicates that we have a full team of specialists on call 24-hours a day to respond to stroke emergencies. We are also recognized by the  as a "Get With The Guidelines-Stroke (GWTG-Stroke) Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award" winner, as well as a member of "the Target:
Stroke Honor Roll." As a Department of Emergency services PA, you will participate in all aspects of emergency care including triage, resuscitation, emergency procedures (intubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, etc), fast track evaluation, and discharge.

Ideal candidates will have the ability to work across a variety of shifts, including day and night, to support dynamic staffing needs.
** Preferred Criteria**-Experience in urgent care or emergency room preferred. Will consider new graduates.
** Required Criteria**-Bachelor’s or Masters in Physician Assistant related studies-NYS PA Licensure-Current NCCPA Certification-ACLS/BLS-NYS Infection Control certification Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high. Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
