Position Overview:

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Certified X-Ray Technologist for a per-diem position in a multi-specialty practice in Brooklyn, NY. This role offers competitive hourly compensation and welcomes new graduates. A medical background in related fields is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiology, or a related field.
  • Licensure: Active New York State License as a Radiologic Technologist (Required).
  • Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification is preferred.
  • Experience: New Graduates are welcome to apply. Medical background (EMT, CMA, Medical Assistant) is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating X-ray equipment, positioning patients, and producing high-quality diagnostic images. Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent patient communication, ability to work independently, and commitment to quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as ordered by physicians.
  • Position patients correctly and ensure proper technique for optimal image quality.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Process and review images for quality, making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
  • Assist with other clinical duties as needed based on medical background.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
