Direct Support Professional

Our Client is seeking a reliable and attentive DSP/Residential Aide to provide support and instruction to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a group home in the Brooklyn area. To include, Long Island and Queens area.

Compensation: $17-$19 per hour

• Promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
• Ensure all activities are designed to foster growth to each individual's highest level of accomplishment.
• Ensure all care and services are delivered in a climate of normalization, care and concern.
• Assist Consumers with daily nutrition and their medications (as needed).
• Transport Consumers to appointments (as needed).

• Valid Driver's License (not required but helpful).
• Ability to complete and pass mandated clearances.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be comfortable toileting.

• CPR
• First Aid
• TB (Tuberculosis)
• SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention) not required but helpful.
• AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel) not required but helpful.

• Establish a relationship with one of the largest referral agencies for behavioral-health.
• Compensation processed on a weekly basis.
