Position Summary:
The Training Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that staff are properly trained to perform their duties in accordance with agency standards, OPWDD regulations, and best practices. This role oversees the planning, development, coordination, and delivery of training programs, including new staff orientation and ongoing workforce development.
Essential Duties:
- Plan and conduct new staff orientation and ongoing training programs.
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance with HR and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate required certifications like SCIP-R, First Aid, CPR, and Defensive Driving.
- Collaborate with managers to identify and address staff training needs.
- Conduct site visits to monitor training effectiveness and provide feedback.
- Stay updated on OPWDD regulations and incorporate best practices into training.
- Support compliance efforts and assist with investigations as required.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required/Masters preferred.
- 4+ years of experience working with /DD population
- Valid New York State Driver's License preferred .
- Requires SCIP-R, CPR, DEFENSIVE DRIVER & FIRST AID TRAINING
Schedule - Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm.
Location - 243 Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY, 11215.
