A nursing home is currently looking for a highly experienced Director of Social work to join their team of dedicated professionals.

As the Social Work Director you will determine the long range and short range goals for residents of facility as related to their social, emotional and financial needs.

Director of Social Services Responsibilities::

• Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in planning social services programs.
• Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to plan social services programs for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neurological and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, and infectious diseases if applicable.
• Promptly follows-up on admission inquiries, evaluates and assesses the needs of prospective residents to determine appropriateness of facility placement

Director of Social Services Qualifications:

• Experience as a Director of Social Work in a large LTC setting is required.
• Possesses growth in the profession through community involvement and continuing education.
• Explores and utilizes available community resources applicable to residential health care facility programs.
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• The salary for this position is competitive and depending on experience and qualifications; a full bonus plan will be included.

Salary: Up to $100,000 a year
