Overview
Full-Time | On-Site | $85-$90,000k Annually
Pasta Louise is a high-volume, neighborhood-driven Italian restaurant in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We’ve been part of this community for many years and are deeply committed to thoughtful hospitality, consistency, and care—for both our guests and our team.
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Front of House, steward day-to-day operations, and uphold the standards that make Pasta Louise feel like home.
This is a hands-on, floor-driven leadership role for someone who thrives in service, leads by example, and believes great restaurants are built through preparation, accountability, and respect.
ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do
- Lead and manage the FOH team, including Captains, Hosts, and Floor Managers
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train FOH team members
- Build, maintain, and personally oversee completion of FOH training programs
- Lead weekly Captain meetings and contribute to Management Meetings
- Foster a positive, professional, and respectful culture
- Enforce employee handbook standards and participate in disciplinary processes when needed
- Be a visible presence on the floor during service
- Set the tone for hospitality, pace, and professionalism
- Support Captains and staff during service as needed
- Act as lead on guest recovery and issue resolution
- Maintain high standards across service, cleanliness, and organization
- Build and post weekly FOH schedules
- Manage staffing levels to balance guest experience and labor targets
- Oversee daily FOH operations and service readiness
- Partner closely with the kitchen and ownership team to ensure smooth execution
- 5+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume environment
- A natural floor leader who enjoys being in service—not managing from a desk
- Calm, organized, and decisive under pressure
- Strong communicator who leads with clarity and empathy
- Invested in team development and long-term staff retention
- Aligned with a neighborhood-first, people-centered approach to hospitality
