The Role

The Head of Ecommerce is responsible for creating and executing strategies to optimize and grow Savette's ecommerce business, including our owned platform and paid digital marketing. This channel has experienced consistent year-over-year growth, and we're seeking a leader to secure and scale Savette's direct-to-consumer business.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the luxury accessories space and will be responsible for:

Strategy, Planning & Leadership
  • Develop and implement ecommerce strategies for D2C, incorporating market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape analysis. Drive growth while building brand equity.
  • Optimize ecommerce infrastructure and technologies to support brand ambitions and integrate with offline opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Wholesale Sales team to build, differentiate, and align wholesale and ecommerce strategies.
  • Set revenue targets and growth objectives for ecommerce, focusing on existing and emerging opportunities. Own the channel P&L with accountability for delivering sales while supporting brand building.
  • Define a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that aligns with business goals across platforms and enhances the customer journey.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a growing ecommerce team. Champion a D2C mindset across the organization.
Operations
  • Oversee end-to-end ecommerce operations: website management, product listings, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Partner with Design on a seasonal basis to update site imagery and layout, engaging the site developer as needed.
  • Continuously assess ecommerce technology and vendor partnerships, implementing solutions that enhance platform functionality and performance.
  • Execute all product availability updates, ensuring alignment across internal systems.
Ecommerce Buying & Product Planning
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts for all product offerings on  Update forecasts based on marketing initiatives, promotions, and line expansions.
  • Research demand drivers, analyze historical sales trends, and prepare and evaluate forecast data.
  • Develop and execute seasonal ecommerce buys four times per year based on projections and sales goals.
  • Monitor SKU inventory positions and collaborate with Production to address additional off-season or core stock requirements.
  • Produce weekly and monthly KPI reports, identifying opportunities to maximize inventory productivity and extracting key insights to inform future assortments.
Consumer Insights, Analytics & Reporting
  • Build deep organizational understanding of the D2C customer and drive loyalty, engagement, and acquisition strategies.
  • Implement data-driven approaches to analyze customer behavior and preferences, optimizing the platform accordingly.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyze data to evaluate ecommerce initiative performance.
  • Conduct post-campaign analysis to identify areas for improvement and incorporate learnings into future initiatives.
Digital Marketing
  • Support marketing calendar development in partnership with the team, aligning with merchandising and brand priorities.
  • Manage and optimize paid digital media agency relationships and budgets, focusing on efficiency and incrementality.
  • Develop customer journey frameworks that engage customers throughout their lifecycle, including acquisition, onboarding, reactivation, and win-back strategies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and technology partners supporting digital marketing.
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends and technologies, testing and deploying new tactics with agility.
Key Qualifications
  • 8+ years of ecommerce experience at a luxury apparel or accessories brand
  • Deep knowledge of Shopify, CX platforms, digital merchandising, and backend website development
  • Analytical and operationally minded with the ability to manage complexity, drive clarity, and move quickly
  • Collaborative communicator who can align cross-functional partners including Design, Marketing, Production, and Finance
  • Product focus and merchandising background strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital marketing strategies and consumer behaviors as they relate to ecommerce channels
