ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly experienced Net App Storage Engineer with deep expertise in ONTAP and core Net App technologies. This role will support complex storage initiatives, perform hardware break/fix activities, and provide consultative technical leadership for ongoing and upcoming projects.

The position offers a primarily remote schedule, with onsite work approximately once per week to perform scheduled maintenance or project-based support. Please note that candidates must work in the NYC geographical area.

• Duration: 7-month contract | high likelihood of extension

AS A NETAPP CONSULTANT, YOU CAN EXPECT TO HAVE THESE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Net App ONTAP and core storage technologies
• Lead and execute break/fix and maintenance tasks for Net App hardware (FAS and AFF platforms)
• Provide technical consultation and recommendations for special storage-related projects
• Support troubleshooting, performance optimization, and capacity planning within the storage environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and data integrity

TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU'LL NEED EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Net App ONTAP administration and configuration
• Proven expertise in Net App Core Technologies, including FAS and AFF platforms
• Strong hardware troubleshooting and break/fix experience
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills in complex storage environments
• Strong understanding of data protection, replication, and automation frameworks
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a hybrid support model

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working with Kubernetes integration and containerized storage solutions
• Familiarity with ASA Fibre Channel and SAN/NAS storage architectures
• Net App-related certifications (NCDA, NCIE, etc)
