Position

Description:

Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Business Analyst to join our team in Downtown Brooklyn, NY. In this role, you will analyze business processes, document requirements, and support digital transformation initiatives within a utility or enterprise environment. Your responsibilities include gathering and documenting technical and business requirements, supporting project coordination, developing process diagrams, and facilitating communication between technical teams and stakeholders.

You will also assist with data validation, process improvements, and contribute to digital projects utilizing tools such as Azure Dev Ops, SQL, and Python. This is an excellent opportunity for a rising professional eager to build a career in business analysis, project support, and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements

* Support project managers in coordinating project activities, timelines, and deliverables

* Create user stories, process maps, workflow diagrams, and SOPs

* Assist with backlog management, testing, and UAT coordination using Azure Dev Ops or similar tools

* Support data migration, validation, and automation projects utilizing SQL, Python, and Oracle databases

* Develop professional documentation and presentations for leadership and operational teams

* Facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders to ensure project success

* Contribute to digital transformation efforts involving enterprise repositories and operational tools

Top Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related technical fields

* Strong internship or co-op experience within a utility or enterprise environment

* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)

* Experience with project management or workflow tools like Azure Dev Ops (preferred)

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines

* Technical aptitude with familiarity in SQL, Python, or Oracle databases (preferred)

* Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Desired

Skills & Experience:

* Experience with Figma or similar design and mapping tools

* Knowledge of GIS, mapping systems, or enterprise utility applications is a plus

* Support experience in digital transformation or operational process improvements preferred

* Familiarity with QA/UAT processes and coordination
