Data Scientist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Scientist in Brooklyn, NY.

Summary:

We are seeking a Data Scientist to partner with product and operations teams to deliver data-driven insights that improve customer experience and business performance. This role focuses on advanced analytics, experimentation, and developing actionable insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and business insights

* Partner with cross-functional teams (product, operations, customer experience) to drive data-informed decisions

* Conduct advanced analytics, including causal inference and statistical modeling

* Support A/B testing and experimentation to optimize performance

* Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs and communicate insights

* Perform ad hoc analysis to answer critical business questions
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and accessibility across reporting assets

REQUIREMENTS:

* 4+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative role

* Strong experience with Python and statistical analysis

* Experience with causal inference and advanced analytical techniques

* Proficiency in SQL and working with large datasets (e.g., cloud data warehouses)

* Experience building visualizations using tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar

* Experience analyzing customer behavior or lifecycle data (e.g., LTV)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or consumer-facing environments

* Background in A/B testing and clickstream analysis

* Exposure to fulfillment, operations, or customer experience data

* Familiarity with machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, clustering)

* Experience working with AI tools

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
