Service Now Manager

The Service Now Manager is accountable for leading Service Now platform strategy, driving delivery excellence, and ensuring alignment with business goals while promoting best practices across all Service Now projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Service Now implementation and enhancement projects from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Manage and mentor a team of Service Now developers and administrators, ensuring skills development and career growth.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of custom applications and modules on the Service Now platform.
• Configure and implement workflows, forms, business rules, and client/server scripts using JavaScript.
• Provide architectural guidance and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with governance standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive integration of Service Now with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, code reviews, and quality assurance processes.
• Plan and manage Service Now upgrade and enhancement cycles.
• Act as the primary point of contact for escalations, risks, and delivery challenges.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of working experience in Service Now development and implementation.
• 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing Service Now projects and teams.
• Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required.
• Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) – required.
• Service Now ITSM Certification – preferred.
• Experience managing multiple Service Now projects simultaneously.

Required Skills

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills.
• Proficient in JavaScript for client-side and server-side scripting within the Service Now platform.
• Skilled in building custom applications and workflows across modules.
• Deep understanding of REST and SOAP integrations.
• Experienced in Agile/Scrum methodologies and leading delivery in an iterative environment.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, XML, SOAP, REST.
• Skilled in using the Service Now App Developer tooling.

Preferred Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Service Now ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM modules.
• Experience with Service Catalog, CMDB, and automation workflows.
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code development on Service Now App Engine.
• Exposure to Service Now Flow Designer.
• Understanding of Performance Analytics and Integration Hub.
