IT Support Specialist – Level 1 (100% On‑Site)
Salary $60,000 - $65,000
Brooklyn
A private high school in South Brooklyn is seeking a Level 1 IT Support Specialist to support ~450 students and 100 faculty/staff. This is a full-time, year-round role requiring 5 days on-site, including summer coverage.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for technical issues; troubleshoot or escalate as needed
- Provide support in person and via remote tools
- Image, deploy, and configure laptops, desktops, and classroom technology
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and applications
- Manage device lifecycle (setup, repairs, replacements, inventory tracking)
- Support printers, copiers, and print server queues
- Manage users in Active Directory, Google Admin, and internal systems
- Assist with endpoint management (Intune, Jamf, Google Admin)
- Set up and support A/V equipment and livestream events (occasional after-hours work)
- Document tickets, resolutions, and internal knowledge base updates
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/certifications
- ~2 years of IT support / help desk experience
- Experience supporting Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS
- Basic command line and scripting knowledge (Power Shell or shell)
- Basic networking/troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with physical work (lifting up to 40 lbs, moving between floors)
- Strong interest in learning and staying current with technology
- 3D printer support/maintenance experience
- Photography, videography, or A/V production experience
