Contract Length: 6 Months (Possible Extension)

Work Setup: On-site
Join a dynamic team supporting mission-critical operations at the DCAS Testing Center. As an IT Support Technician, you will provide hands-on technical support in a fast-paced testing environment, ensuring reliable computer systems and exceptional user support for exam operations.
IT Support Technician Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated onsite support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, peripherals, and related hardware at the DCAS Testing Center.
- Install, configure, update, and maintain Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral issues.
- Deploy and configure desktops, laptops, handheld devices, printers, and other endpoint devices.
- Perform routine system administration and support end users with computer-related issues.
- Evaluate hardware and software solutions and provide technical recommendations.
- Coordinate with internal departments to support projects while minimizing operational downtime.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and support activities accurately.
- Provide support at other MTA locations as needed.
- Move and lift IT equipment when required.
Required Qualifications
- 46 years of IT support experience in a desktop support or technical support environment.
- Strong knowledge of PC hardware, software, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and related Office applications.
- Familiarity with Apple macOS operating systems.
- Experience with Active Directory administration and basic networking equipment.
- Knowledge of Ethernet cabling and TCP/IP networking.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work onsite and provide weekend support whenever exams are scheduled.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.
- Experience with Oracle client-based applications.
- Experience with Windows Autopilot or other device provisioning solutions.
- Experience with CAD software and technical drawings.
- CompTIA A and/or Network certifications.
