This Legal Administrative Specialist (eLitigation Support) provides technical and analytical assistance to support the eLitigation needs of the United States Attorney's Office (USAO).

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected eLitigation team that is responsible for providing Legal Administrative Specialist (eLitigation) support in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of New York, located in Brooklyn, New York, focusing in the areas of technical and analytical assistance to support the eLlitigation needs of the USAO.

Typical work assignments will include:
  • Providing technical eLitigation assistance to litigation teams on legal automation requirements and systems capabilities to facilitate litigation decisions, trial preparation, and trial presentation.
  • Performing a wide range of information system analysis, development, and installation in support of District litigation activities for assigned cases.
  • Coordinating with the eLitigation Supervisor and IT Division to analyze automated eLitigation support functions and monitor system use and response time.
  • Working with various eLitigation tools such as Everlaw, Relativity, and NUIX.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:

To qualify at the GS-09 level, you must possess:

Specialized Experience:
At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service performing (obtained in either the public or private sectors) (3) of the (4) duties listed below:
  • Providing comprehensive support in preparing and organizing exhibits, evidence, and case-related data for presentation before a jury, grand jury, or in other legal proceedings;
  • Managing and preparing electronic discovery materials, including evidence, exhibits, and other electronically stored information (ESI) pertinent to investigations and casework;
  • Utilizing and maintaining various software applications to develop both physical and digital trial presentations;
  • Assisting in evaluating case requirements to determine effective litigation support strategies and solutions.
