A well-established daycare is seeking an experienced Daycare Director to oversee the daily operations of the center while working closely with ownership to ensure the organization runs smoothly and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about early childhood education and creating a positive environment for children, families, and staff.
The Daycare Director will be responsible for managing operations, supervising staff, maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations, and supporting the continued growth and success of the program. The ideal candidate is highly organized, approachable, and capable of leading a team while maintaining excellent relationships with parents, staff, and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the daycare center
- Work closely with ownership on operational planning and decision-making
- Lead, supervise, and support teachers and administrative staff
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing, health, and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment for children, families, and staff
- Monitor program quality and implement operational improvements
- Assist with staff training, development, and performance management
- Address parent questions and concerns professionally and promptly
- Ensure the center operates efficiently while maintaining high educational standards
- Master's degree in Special Education required
- Previous leadership or director-level experience in a daycare, school, or educational setting required
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience managing operations and supervising staff
- Thorough understanding of childcare licensing and regulatory compliance
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with ownership and lead a team effectively
- Competitive salary of $84,000–$120,000/year
