Director of Coordination
A growing homecare agency is looking for a Director of Coordination to lead the team responsible for caregiver scheduling, client relations, and day-to-day service delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and knows how to keep a multicultural, multilingual team accountable and performing. You'll be the person who makes sure caregivers get matched to patients correctly, coverage never falls through, and the agency stays audit-ready.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership
- Lead, manage, and support a team of coordinators handling caregiver scheduling, client relations, and daily service delivery
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer service
- Manage both on-site and remote team members
Coverage & Compliance
- Ensure adequate shift coverage, including emergency or last-minute changes
- Develop and enforce processes for timely, accurate caregiver-to-patient matching
- Monitor service delivery against agency standards and DOH regulations
- Handle audit preparation, compliance standards, incident reporting, and plan of correction development
Operations & Documentation
- Implement and monitor systems for documentation, communication logs, and visit confirmations
- Oversee timely, accurate payroll processing for field staff while maximizing billing
- Oversee the operation and integration of all coordination systems and workflows
- Analyze and act on operational reports, including missed visits, overtime, and coverage issues
Qualifications
- Homecare experience in Coordination or HR (Coordination strongly preferred), with solid understanding of LHCSA regulations and Medicaid eligibility/ineligibility
- Minimum 3 years leading a multicultural, multilingual team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- High emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, and a can-do attitude
- Experience with caregiver scheduling, service coverage, grievances, investigations, and team performance management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, comfortable with spreadsheets, ticketing systems, and coordination platforms
- Excellent time and project management skills
