Client has come to us with an immediate need for a Materials Coordinator. The job description and details are provided below.

Key responsibilities include:

• Material Management:
  Oversee the shipment and delivery of materials, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available for production. This includes organizing raw materials and finalizing agreements with suppliers.
• Inventory Control:
  Maintain accurate records of material inventory, track usage, and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• Coordination:
  Collaborate with various departments, customers, and suppliers to determine material requirements and coordinate the timely delivery of materials to meet operational schedules.
• Quality Assurance:
  Examine materials delivered to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Documentation:
  Compile and maintain manual or computerized records related to material usage, production reports, and inventory status.
• Procurement:
  Compile and enter PO requisitions (via Helm).
• Billing:
  Examine and approve supplier invoices.

Required skills and qualifications include:

• Education:
  
  A high school diploma is typically required, while a bachelor's degree in a related field (such as supply chain management or logistics) is preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and proficiency in inventory management software are essential.
• Experience:
  
  Previous experience in materials management, logistics, or a related field is often beneficial.

Location:

We would like to focus on candidates who are based in the NYC (Brooklyn if possible) area due to the need for the candidate to be able to attend site visits when needed. This would be a contract position with a day rate (12-hour day) which would be for the duration of the project through October 1st of this year, with the possibility of extending longer.
