Join EAC Network as a Peer Recovery Coach (Part-Time)

EAC Network, a leading non-profit social service organization, is looking for passionate individuals to join our Collaborative Legal Engagement and Addiction Response (CLEAR) program in Brooklyn, NY. We're empowering over 62,000 people annually across NYC and Long Island through 100+ programs, and now, we're seeking someone with lived experience in recovery to make a difference as a Peer Recovery Coach

  • Competitive pay
    : $30.74 per hour
    , working 21 hours a week.
  • Schedule
    : between the hours of 4 PM-12 AM, 12 AM-8 AM, or 8 AM-4 PM — including weekends.
  • Location
    : 175 Remsen Street in Brooklyn.
What You’ll Do

As a Peer Recovery Coach, you’ll be on the front lines supporting individuals referred to our program. Your primary focus will be building positive, trusting relationships and connecting participants to community resources.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

  • Engage with potential participants at precincts throughout Brooklyn, explaining program benefits and offering hope.
  • Provide emergency support
    , ensuring participants have access to crucial resources when needed.
  • Motivate participants to meet with Case Managers and follow through with community-based support services.
  • Support participants in real-time—both in person and remotely—by offering guidance and staying connected via email and phone.
  • Equip participants with Naloxone kits and training as necessary.
  • Collaborate with criminal justice agencies and community organizations, including courts, police, and parole/probation officers.
  • Document your interactions, keeping client records up to date for review by supervisors.
Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CRPA) or related training preferred.
  • Peer specialist certifications from OASAS/OMH or Howie the Harp Peer Advocacy training preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple agencies and work in a fast‑paced, flexible environment.
  • Knowledge of Brooklyn’s resources and services.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends.
  • Tech‑savvy
    —you should be comfortable with email, spreadsheets, and database systems.
