Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator manages and oversees youth programming, including summer camp, evening teen center, and weekend programming at Roosevelt Community Center. This role ensures the smooth operation of program activities, supervises staff, and maintains a safe, engaging environment for guests, participants, and staff. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring compliance with DOH, DYCD, and GSS policies and regulations.
Candidates are expected to work 4–8 hour shifts within program hours. Exact schedules will vary based on program needs.
Oversee center operations and ensure a safe, positive environment for youth participants across all programming
Enforce rules and policies, manage and de-escalate conflicts, and respond to emergencies
Supervise staff, interns, and volunteers, ensuring they are trained, engaged, and performing effectively
Communicate effectively with youth, families, and stakeholders; build relationships and address concerns
Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and incidents
Enter data into DYCD Connect and communicate with DYCD program managers and deputies
Participate in trainings and professional development opportunities
Coordinate and manage events, including planning, logistics, and execution
Build and maintain relationships with community partners to expand program opportunities
Maintain cleanliness and organization of program and shared spaces
Support community relations efforts and outreach activities
Assist with planning and execution of community events
Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director
