Step into the Neonatal ICU in the Pediatrics Department at New York-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and attend deliveries of high risk neonates while resuscitating as needed. Assess, diagnose, and carry out procedures like endotracheal intubation, placement of central lines, PICC lines, chest tube placement for drainage. You will order and perform medical tests and procedures such as parenteral nutrition and various modes of oxygen therapy including mechanical ventilation.
Serving as the primary caregiver to newborn infants in the NICU, you will educate and support parents and guardians, design treatment plans, prescribe medication on your own and with NICU physicians.
This is a full-time 12-hour position rotating shifts including rotating weekend and holiday coverage. This position is located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Preferred Criteria
- 1+ year as NP in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- Trained and experienced in NICU care
Required Criteria
- Nurse Practitioner Master's Program
- 1+ year of clinical experience
- Current New York State License as a Registered Nurse
- Current New York State License as an Adult, Acute Care, or Family Nurse Practitioner
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- New York State Prescriptive Authority
- Current registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration

$169,694-$187,854/Annual
