Position: RN - Med/Surg
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11235
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 09/14/2026
End Date: 12/19/2026
Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: 34.5 hours/week; 11.5 hours/day; 3 days/week.
Pay Range: $60-$62/hr.

Required Experience:

  • Acute Facilities:
    Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year.
  • Post Acute Facilities:
    Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in either Post Acute Facility or acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year.
  • Physical assessment.
  • Medication administration.
  • Wound care & infection control.
  • IV therapy.
  • Post-operative care.
  • Patient education.
  • Telemetry monitoring.

Preferred Experience:

  • EPIC EMR experience.

Required License and Certification:

  • New York State RN License & Primary Source Verification.
  • AHA BLS.
  • AHA ACLS (Queens only).

Required Education:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institute.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
  • Evaluate medical information and provide direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery patients.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
  • Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed and interpret and record measurements.
  • Monitor patients' vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
  • Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care.
  • Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records.
  • Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.
