Position: Instrument Test Technician 2
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of laboratory equipment.
  • Execute and document validation activities in a timely manner.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, SOPs, and schematics.
  • Develop, review, and revise departmental procedures and technical documentation.
  • Perform component-level troubleshooting and equipment repair.
  • Maintain equipment history records and generate maintenance reports.
  • Support equipment inventory reconciliation and refurbishment of surplus equipment.
  • Educate end users on calibration principles and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Operate electronic test equipment and work independently within a team environment.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities in compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
Experience Required
  • 5-7 years of experience working with laboratory or hospital equipment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 10012, ISO 17025, or ISO 13485 standards.
  • Experience using SAP, Cal Man, Microsoft Access, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration activities required.

Eligibilities & qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or CST Certification preferred.
  • Valid unrestricted California Driver's License required.
  • Strong knowledge of calibration principles and documentation practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive projects.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
